Your pup sure can use your sofa as a sleeping spot, but why not give him special treatment?
Well, if you’ve been looking for a high-quality, comfy, and maybe even slightly lush dog bed, then our roundup of the best luxury dog beds may be for you!
KOPEKS Orthopedic Memory Foam Dog Bed
Up first on our roundup of the best luxury dog beds is this orthopedic dog bed by KOPEKS. If you are ready to pay the money to ensure comfort for your pup, then this dog bed may be the right option. It’s indeed a luxury bed both in terms of price and conveniences.
To provide a comfortable resting spot for your dog, this bed boasts around 18-centimetre thick memory foam. If you have a memory foam mattress, then you’ll know how supportive and comfy memory foam is. The reinforced stitching also helps the bed retain its shape and support.
Another great thing about this dog bed is that it’s hypoallergenic, which means that it shouldn’t cause allergies in you or your dog.
On top of the memory foam, you have two protective layers. First, you have a zippered waterproof fabric cover on the inside which is there to protect the memory foam from moisture. If your dog drools a lot, then the waterproof liner could come in handy.
The second layer is a soft plush suede cover with an anti-slip bottom. And just like the waterproof cover, the outer cover can be removed for washing.
The KOPEKS bed also has an around 7.6-centimetre tall pillow area on the side. Not all dogs will need a pillow, but if you’ve noticed that your dog likes to lean onto something, the pillow may be insanely useful.
Oh, and this dog bed is sized at 127 x 86 centimetres, so it’s a great option for larger breeds. There also are smaller sizes available though.
· Large size
· Thick and comfy memory foam
· Integrated pillow
· Waterproof interior lining
· Hypoallergenic fabric
· Anti-slip bottom.
PetFusion Dog Bed
The PetFusion dog bed is a little less expensive than the KOPEKS dog bed, so it lacks a few things. Most importantly, this bed appears not to be hypoallergenic, which may be a crucial point for some people.
As for other features though, this dog bed is similar to the KOPEKS dog bed, and some things are even better in it! And it again is a luxury dog bed with its price and features.
The most noticeable feature in the PetFusion dog bed is the pillow that runs along the perimeter of the dog bed and has an opening on one side. Such a pillow should make this bed very cozy for your pup.
You again have comfy and supportive memory foam, though it’s a little thinner than in the KOPEKS bed – “only” 10 centimetres. We don’t think that the 7-centimetre difference will be noticeable, but it may matter to some.
The overall build, however, appears to be more breathable since it contains 35% cotton. If you want to keep your pup cool, then the high cotton content could be useful for him.
The PetFusion dog bed doesn’t have “double-layer” protection like the KOPEKS bed had, but it does have a zippered water- and tear-resistant cover. The bottom of this dog bed is skid-resistant as well.
In terms of size, the particular PetFusion dog bed variant we reviewed is much smaller than the KOPEKS bed – it’s sized at just 91 x 73 centimetres. There are larger sizes, but the one we based our overview on is smaller. Due to this, this dog bed should be a better pick for middle-sized breeds or maybe several small dogs!
· Great for mid-sized breeds
· Water- & tear-resistant cove
· Comfy and supportive memory foam
· Breathable cotton build
· Non-skid bottom
· Large perimeter pillow.
· A bit pricey
On Paws Sleep Well Lounger Dog Bed
If you are on a tighter budget, then the Sleep Well Lounger dog bed by On Paws may be an excellent option for you. This dog bed doesn’t have the bells & whistles of the already overviewed dog beds, but it still is a worthy contender for this roundup.
The inner of this dog bed isn’t memory foam but super-soft padding. This padding won’t be as supportive as memory foam, but it should provide your dog with a good amount of comfort. Besides, this dog bed is fully machine-washable, which isn’t a thing with memory foam beds since it can get severely damaged from washing.
On the other hand, the assembly of this dog bed appears to be a bit difficult, which may be due to its soft construction.
The outer cover in this dog bed is coated with Teflon for water/oil stain-repellent properties. This cover’s outer walls are reinforced with fibre fill for extra support as well. The cover can also be removed for easier washing.
The bottom of this dog bed is again anti-slip, which isn’t a must-have feature, but it can be very useful.
Finally, the Sleep Well Lounger dog bed is also sized at 65 x 50 centimetres, which means that it should be a good option for small to middle-sized breeds. You again have a few size options to choose from.
· Suitable for small to mid-sized breeds
· Water-, oil-, and stain-repellent outer cover
· Reinforced exterior walls
· Anti-slip mesh bottom
· Not the easiest to assemble
PawHut Luxury Dog Bed
The PawHut dog bed isn’t the most expensive option on our roundup. In fact, it’s pretty affordable. However, it probably wouldn’t be a stretch to say that this dog bed looks the most luxurious of them all.
This bed is outright gorgeous, and if you highly value aesthetics, then this dog bed might be excellent for you.
How about the comforts and conveniences though?
Well, the wooden structure that is at the base of this beautiful dog bed is highly supportive. The structure is also encased in soft padding and has a soft interior lining that should keep your dog comfortable. Not only that, but you are provided with a soft cushion with a removable cover.
This dog bed appears not to have an anti-skid bottom, but it comes with 5-centimetre tall plastic feet that should make this thing a little more stable.
The back pocket in this dog bed is a cute little feature that may also be helpful for some people. You may use it to store your dog’s toys or food.
All in all, this dog bed appears to be a pretty nice option. It’s also the best-looking dog bed on our list!
With that said, there are a few downsides to mention.
First, the bed’s lining appears not to be water-resistant, which may be a problem if your dog drools a lot. The lining just won’t be able to protect the inner filling from water.
Then, this dog bed is only designed for dogs weighing less than 3 kilograms. This isn’t a downside per se since plenty of people out there own small dogs, but it will be a problem for some.
And finally, you have only 2 sizes to choose from. The large size can support up to 15-kilogram dogs, but you overall don’t have too many options.
Do these downsides mean anything though? Well, this will depend on your dog’s breed!
· Not too expensive
· Beautiful design
· A good option for small dogs
· Wooden interior structure
· May be placed on plastic feet
· Equipped with back pockets for toys or food
· Not water-resistant
· Designed for dogs weighing less than 3 kilograms
· Only 2 size options available
Shag Fuax Fur Donut Cuddler Bed
Finally, we have the Donut Cuddler dog bed. This is a pretty nice and simple bed that can provide your pup with plenty of cushioning and comfort. It doesn’t have anything fancy – it’s just an all-around solid dog bed.
And it’s pretty inexpensive too!
Now, this dog bed won’t be as supportive as the pricey memory dog beds. However, its soft PP cotton filling should be very comfortable for your pup, and it also has a raised rim that gives pillow-like support!
The fluffy cover in this dog bed is also removable for machine-washing. Unfortunately, it appears not to be water-resistant, so you may want to avoid this dog bed if your dog tends to make a mess.
In terms of sizing, this dog bed is pretty large – we’ve based our review on the L size which measured 80 x 80 centimetres. This isn’t the largest size on our list, but it should be good enough for not too big breeds. You also have 2 smaller sizes to choose from.
Overall, if you are looking for a straightforward and comfy bed for your dog, then this one may be the right option. It’s also pretty good-looking and luxurious too, if you will!
· Quite large
· Soft and comfy
· Anti-skid bottom
· Not water-resistant
Luxurious is mostly a matter of price and looks. But you may argue that a feature-rich dog bed is luxurious as well.
Which is more important to you – chic or comfort for your dog? Well, both are important, but you need to decide which one is important for you.
To choose the right one from the best luxury dog beds we’ve reviewed, make sure to understand what you want.
